New agency? Your first five candidates are on us.

For new education supply agencies in England

Just set up your supply agency? Be compliant from your first candidate.

Before a school takes your first candidate, the file has to be complete: the Keeping Children Safe in Education checks, the Disclosure and Barring Service certificate, both references. We do all of it, so the booking is the only thing on your desk.

Before the first booking

Compliance comes before the first booking.

A school can't put your candidate in front of children until the checks are done and it can record them. When you've just set up there's no compliance team to hand that to, so it falls to you, between winning schools.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

The Department for Education's statutory guidance for schools in England. A school has to have written confirmation from your agency that the checks it would otherwise carry out have been done, before your candidate starts.

Eleven checks, every candidate

An Enhanced DBS with children's barred list, Right to Work, identity, two references, the prohibition from teaching check and five more. Each one is dated, with the evidence behind it, from your first file.

Ready for the Single Central Record

The school records your candidate's checks on its Single Central Record, and an inspector can ask to see it. If the file has a gap in it, the booking doesn't go ahead.

What we check

The eleven checks, for every candidate.

We run every one of them for every candidate, dated and with the evidence behind it. Where one doesn't apply to the role, we record that it isn't required and why, so the file never has a gap in it.

We run the checks

We run all eleven checks, chase the references every working day and stay on the DBS until it lands. You see where each one is, dated.

Your next booking

The finished file is ready for the school's Single Central Record, and we keep it current for as long as the candidate is with you.

  • Anything that goes to a school waits for your approval.
  • The employment decision, and the statutory excuse as employer, stay with you.
Pricing

Five candidates free in your first month, then one plan with every charge in view.

£350 a month covers ten clearances, taken on your billing date. Keeping a file current is £9.99 a month per candidate, taken on the same date. An Enhanced DBS with children's barred list is £68, everything included, taken from your card the day you add the candidate or paid by the candidate before we apply, as you choose.

Five candidates free in your first month. The only charge on them is the £68 Enhanced DBS with children's barred list, taken from your card the day you add each one, or paid by the candidate before we apply if you choose. Cancel in that month for nothing.

Your first month is free: five candidates free, then £35 for each one after that. The day your free month ends, £350 comes off your card, and on the same date each month. £9.99 a month for every candidate on your register, charged on your billing date. Start one part-way through a month and you pay only for the days left, on your next billing date. No minimum: if you've got two, it's £19.98. Stopping takes effect from your next billing date.

Against doing it yourself.

Until you're adding fifteen candidates a month, nobody hires for this: you do it between calls to schools. Here's the same work at £21.60 an hour of a consultant's time, beside what we charge for it.
